Class 3 – Straight Truck
Operate trucks with more than 2 axles — Dump Trucks, Mobile Truck Cranes, and large Tow Trucks. We train on both Automatic and Manual transmissions.
Age requirement: 18+Training: 25 hours
Overview
This driver's licence allows a person to operate trucks with more than 2 axles such as Dump Trucks, Mobile Truck Cranes, and large Tow Trucks.
Our Class 3 training package is available in both Manual and Automatic transmissions and includes 25 hours total of one-on-one truck training and driving:
- 1.5 hours for the MVB road test
- 7-hour Single Unit Air Brakes course
- 5-hour Mechanical Pre-Trip course
- 11.5-hour Defensive Driving course
All fees must be in place before training commences. Students are responsible for all ICBC fees as well as medical fees. Contact us for our pricing.

Steps to Get Licensed
- 1Obtain Class 3 Learner's licence
- 2Register for driver training
- 3Take pre-trip and road test at ICBC Driver Services once the training is complete
- 4Do a driver's medical
Prerequisites
- Must be 18 years of age
- Valid Class 5 licence
- Class 3 Learner's licence
- Driver's abstract from ICBC Driver Services
