Class 1 – Tractor Trailer
Obtain your Class 1 licence to operate semi-trailer trucks and all motor vehicles except motorcycles — opening the door to long-haul, local, and specialized trucking careers.
Overview
A Class 1 licence opens doors to long-haul, local, and specialized trucking careers across BC. Whether you're looking to travel with long-haul companies or stay close to home driving dump trucks, buses, or tankers, the industry offers competitive wages and strong demand for qualified drivers.
With a Class 1, you can legally operate all vehicles in the Class 1–5 classifications — from Super 'B' trailers and flatdecks to buses and fire trucks — making you a more attractive hire to employers.
At A&G, one of our ICBC licenced instructors will work with you one-on-one in a 75' (23m) truck and trailer combination. You'll cover shifting and double-clutching, pre-trip inspections, coupling/uncoupling, backing, turning, and safe manoeuvring in city traffic.
